تَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَى كِتَابِ الْحَلَالِ وَالْحَرَامِ

الْفَصْلُ الْأَوَّلُ

Chapter One

مَا هُوَ الْحَلَالُ وَمَا هُوَ الْحَرَامُ

What is Halal and what is Haram

قَضِيَّةُ الْحَلَالِ وَالْحَرَامِ هِيَ أَقْدَمُ الْقَضَايَا مَعَ الْإِنْسَانِ

The issue of Halal and Haram is the oldest issue with humanity

لَقَدْ بَدَأَتْ مَعَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ

It began with him before he descended to Earth

بَلْ هِيَ بَدَأَتْ مَعَهُ كَأَوَّلِ دَرْسٍ تَلَقَّاهُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ

Rather, it began with him as the first lesson he received from his Lord

فَهَذِهِ الْقَضِيَّةُ يَقُومُ عَلَيْهَا الْكَوْنُ كُلُّهُ وَيَقُومُ عَلَيْهَا مِيزَانُ الْحَيَاةِ

For this issue, the whole universe stands upon it, and the balance of life stands upon it

لَقَدْ خَلَقَ اللهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى الْإِنْسَانَ كَيْ يُؤَدِّيَ مُهِمَّتَهُ كَخَلِيفَةٍ فِي الْكَوْنِ

Allah, Glory be to Him and Exalted, created man to perform his mission as a vicegerent in the universe

واللهُ الْخَالِقُ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَصُونُ صَنْعَتَهُ وَمَا يُفْسِدُهَا

And Allah, the Creator, knows what preserves His creation and what corrupts it
