تَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَى كِتَابِ تَارِيخِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ الْبَطَلِ الْفَاتِحِ

Chapter One: Khalid ibn al-Walid before Islam

نَسَبُهُ

His lineage

ابْنُ مَخْزُومِ ابْنِ يَقَظَةَ ابْنِ مُرَّةَ ابْنِ كَعْبِ ابْنِ لُؤَيٍّ

Son of Makhzum, son of Yaqaza, son of Murra, son of Ka'b, son of Lu'ayy

هُوَ يَجْتَمِعُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَذَلِكَ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ فِي الْأَبِ السَّابِعِ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُرَّةُ

He connects with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and also with Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, at the seventh ancestor of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, which is Murra

أُمُّهُ لُبَابَةُ الصُّغْرَى بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ حَزْنٍ الْهِلَالِيَّةُ وَتَلْتَقِي مَعَ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ فِي مُضَرَ

His mother is Lubaba al-Sughra, daughter of al-Harith ibn Hazn al-Hilaliyya, and she meets with al-Walid ibn al-Mughira in Mudar

His birth

لَمْ نَجِدْ بَيْنَ كُتُبِ التَّارِيخِ الَّتِي اطَّلَعْنَا عَلَيْهَا نَصًّا يُبَيِّنُ تَارِيخَ وِلَادَةِ خَالِدٍ غَيْرَ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَسَاكِرَ فِي تَارِيخِهِ وَابْنَ بُرْهَانِ الدِّينِ فِي سِيرَتِهِ

We did not find among the history books that we reviewed a text that specifies the date of Khalid's birth, except that Ibn Asakir in his history and Ibn Burhan al-Din in his biography

ذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ قَدِ اصْطَرَعَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ وَخَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ وَهُمَا غُلَامَانِ
