نَمْلَةُ سُلَيْمَانَ

Solomon's ant

أَعْرِفُ لِمَاذَا خَلَقَ اللهُ النَّمْلَةَ بِوَصْفِهَا نَمْلَةً

I know why God created the ant as an ant

وَلَكِنَّنِي فَشِلْتُ أَنْ أَعْرِفَ لِمَاذَا خَلَقَ اللهُ الْإِنْسَانَ

But I have failed to know why God created man

هَذَا الْمَخْلُوقَ الْغَرِيبَ الْمُدْهِشَ

This strange, astonishing creature

وَأَحْيَانًا هَذَا الْمَخْلُوقَ الْمُزْعِجَ

And sometimes this annoying creature

يَسِيرُ هَكَذَا بِلَا مُبَالَاةٍ

He walks like this, with indifference

يَطَأُ بِأَقْدَامِهِ مِئَاتٍ مِنْ جُيُوشِ النَّمْلِ

He tramples with his feet hundreds of ant armies

يُحَطِّمُ بِخَيْلِهِ آلَافًا مِنَ النَّمْلِ

He crushes with his horses thousands of ants

دُونَ أَنْ يُحِسَّ أَوْ يَشْعُرَ

Without feeling or sensing

دُونَ أَنْ يَعْرِفَ أَوْ يَدْرِيَ

Without knowing or realizing
