نَقْرَأُ لَكُمْ كِتَابَ رِحْلَتِي مِنَ الشَّكِّ إِلَى الْإِيمَانِ لِلدُّكْتُورِ مُصْطَفَى مَحْمُودٍ بِصَوْتِ إِسْلَامٍ عَادِلٍ

اللهُ

God.

كَانَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ زَمَنٍ بَعِيدٍ لَسْتُ أَذْكُرُهُ

That was a long time ago, I do not remember it.

رُبَّمَا كُنْتُ أَدْرُجُ مِنَ الثَّالِثَةَ عَشْرَ إِلَى الرَّابِعَةَ عَشْرَ

Perhaps I was creeping from thirteen to fourteen [years old].

وَرُبَّمَا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ فِي مَطَالِعِ الْمُرَاهَقَةِ

And perhaps before that, in the early days of adolescence.

حِينَمَا بَدَأْتُ أَتَسَاءَلُ فِي تَمَرُّدٍ

When I began to ask in rebellion,

تَقُولُونَ إِنَّ اللهَ خَلَقَ الدُّنْيَا

You say that God created the world,

لِأَنَّهُ لَا بُدَّ لِكُلِّ مَخْلُوقٍ مِنْ خَالِقٍ

Because every created being must have a creator,

وَلَا بُدَّ لِكُلِّ صَنْعَةٍ مِنْ صَانِعٍ

And every craft must have a craftsman,

وَلَا بُدَّ لِكُلِّ وُجُودٍ مِنْ مُوجِدٍ

And every existence must have an originator.
