يَا رَجُلُ أَتَدْرِي مَا مَعْنَى أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ اللهُ عَلَيْكَ؟

O man, do you know what it means for Allah to bestow blessings upon you?

مَنْ أَنْتَ حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ اللهُ عَلَيْكَ؟

Who are you that Allah should bestow blessings upon you?

لَسْتَ نَبِيًّا وَلَا أَبُوكَ نَبِيٌّ وَلَا مِنْ سُلَالَةِ نَبِيٍّ

You are not a prophet, nor is your father a prophet, nor are you from the lineage of a prophet.

فَلِمَاذَا يُصَلِّيَ اللهُ عَلَيْكَ؟

So why should Allah bestow blessings upon you?

فَقَطْ لِأَنَّكَ تُصَلِّي عَلَى نَبِيِّهِ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ

Simply because you bestow blessings upon His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.

أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ اللهُ عَلَيْكَ يَعْنِي أَنْ تَعِيشَ فِي كَنَفِ رَحْمَتِهِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى

For Allah to bestow blessings upon you means to live under the shelter of His mercy, may He be glorified and exalted.

صَلَاةُ اللهِ عَلَى الْعَبْدِ رَحْمَتُهُ بِهِ

Allah's blessing upon the servant is His mercy towards him.

أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ اللهُ عَلَيْكَ يَعْنِي أَنْ يَذْكُرَكَ بِثَنَاءٍ حَسَنٍ فِي الْمَلَكُوتِ الْأَعْلَى

For Allah to bestow blessings upon you means that He mentions you with good praise in the Highest Realm.

يَسْمَعُهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ الْكِرَامُ جِبْرِيلُ وَمِيكَائِيلُ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ

Heard by the noble angels, Gabriel and Michael, peace be upon them.

يَسْمَعُونَ ذِكْرَكَ وَالثَّنَاءَ عَلَيْكَ لِأَنَّ اللهَ صَلَّى عَلَيْكَ

They hear your mention and the praise of you because Allah has bestowed blessings upon you.
