قَبْلَ أَنْ نَفْتَحَ صَفَحَاتِ الْمُصْحَفِ

Before we open the pages of the Mushaf

عَلَيْنَا أَنْ نَفْتَحَ أَبْوَابَ قُلُوبِنَا إِذَا مَا جَلَسْنَا مَعَ الْقُرْآنِ

We must open the doors of our hearts if we sit with the Quran

لِنَقْرَأَهُ أَوْ نَسْمَعَهُ

To read it or listen to it

فَإِذَا فَتَحْتَ الْمِذْيَاعَ أَوْ بَحَثْتَ عَنْ قَارِئٍ يُعْجِبُكَ صَوْتُهُ

So if you turn on the radio or look for a reciter whose voice you like

لِتَسْتَمِعَ وَتَسْتَمْتِعَ بِتِلَاوَتِهِ

To listen and enjoy his recitation

قَبْلَ أَنْ تَفْتَحَ الْجِهَازَ

Before you turn on the device

افْتَحْ أَبْوَابَ قَلْبِكَ مُسْتَهْدِيًا بِهِدَايَاتِ الْقُرْآنِ

Open the doors of your heart while being guided by the guidance of the Quran

ثُمَّ انْظُرْ كَيْفَ يَقْذِفُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ تِلْكَ الْهِدَايَاتِ فِي أَرْجَائِهِ

Then watch how Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, casts that guidance into its surroundings

وَقُلْ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

And say the same regarding that

إِذَا مَا أَخَذْتَ مُصْحَفَكَ وَأَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَقْرَأَ وِرْدَكَ وَتَسْتَمْتِعَ بِآيَةٍ وَسُورَةٍ تُتِمُّهَا وَخَتْمَةٍ تُنْجِزُهَا

If you take your Mushaf and want to read your daily portion and enjoy a verse and a surah that you complete and a khatmah you finish
