أَيُّهَا الْمُبَارَكُ أَرْعِنِي سَمْعَكَ وَاسْتَحْضِرْ قَلْبَكَ فَإِنَّ حَدِيثَ الرُّوحِ لِلرُّوحِ يَسْرِي وَتُدْرِكُهُ الْقُلُوبُ بِلَا عَنَاءٍ

O blessed one, lend me your ear and bring your heart to attention, for the discourse of the soul reaches the soul, and hearts grasp it without difficulty

أَيُّهَا الْإِخْوَةُ

O brothers

الْإِنْسَانُ وَمُنْذُ نُعُومَةِ أَظْفَارِهِ

Man, since his tender youth

يَبْدَأُ بِالتَّفْكِيرِ بِتَأْمِينِ الْمُسْتَقْبَلِ

begins thinking about securing the future

أَلَيْسَ هَذَا هُوَ الشُّغْلُ الشَّاغِلُ لِعُقُولِنَا تَأْمِينَ الْمُسْتَقْبَلِ

Is this not the main preoccupation of our minds, securing the future?
