الْعَامُ 624 مِيلَادِيًّا

The year is 624 CE,

الشَّهْرُ هُوَ رَمَضَانُ

the month is Ramadan,

الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي سَيُغَيِّرُ مَجْرَى التَّارِيخِ

the day that will change the course of history.

فِي بَدْرٍ، يَقِفُ جَيْشَانِ وَجْهًا لِوَجْهٍ

At Badr, two armies stand face to face.

عَلَى جَانِبٍ، جَيْشُ قُرَيْشٍ بِعُدَّتِهِ وَعَتَادِهِ 950 رَجُلًا

On one side, the army of Quraysh with its equipment and gear, 950 men,

وَجَيْشُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِـ 313 رَجُلًا فَقَطْ، وَمَوَارِدُ مَحْدُودَةٌ

and the army of the Muslims with only 313 men, and limited resources.

"أَحَدٌ أَحَدٌ"

"[Allah is] One, [Allah is] One!"

الْعَدْلُ قَائِمٌ فِي وَجْهِ الظُّلْمِ، وَالْإِيمَانُ يَعْلُو فِي وَجْهِ الْكُفْرِ

Justice stands in the face of injustice, and faith rises above disbelief.

أَوَّلُ مَعْرَكَةٍ تَكْشِفُ الرُّوحَ الْحَقِيقِيَّةَ لِلْإِسْلَامِ

The first battle revealing the true spirit of Islam:
