وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوا

"And among His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves that you may find tranquility

إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reflect."

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ،

May peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ، وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى أَشْرَفِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَالْمُرْسَلِينَ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ،

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the noblest of the prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad,

وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ وَالتَّابِعِينَ، حَيَّاكُمُ اللهُ إِخْوَانِي وَأَخَوَاتِي إِلَى لِقَاءٍ جَدِيدٍ ضِمْنَ هَذِهِ

and upon his family and his companions and the followers. May Allah welcome you, my brothers and sisters, to a new meeting within this

السِّلْسِلَةِ "بُيُوتٌ مُطْمَئِنَّةٌ"، مَا أَكْثَرَ الَّذِينَ يَبْحَثُونَ عَنْ عِلَاجٍ لِمُشْكِلَةٍ

series "Tranquil Homes". How many are those who search for a cure for a problem

زَوْجِيَّةٍ، وَلَوْ عَادَ بِهِمُ الزَّمَنُ سَنَوَاتٍ إِلَى الْوَرَاءِ لَاكْتَشَفُوا أَنَّ الْعِلَاجَ الْحَقِيقِيَّ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَعْدَ

between spouses! And if time turned back with them years to the past, they would discover that the true cure was not after

الزَّوَاجِ، وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ قَبْلَهُ، فَالْبُيُوتُ إِخْوَانِي وَأَخَوَاتِي لَا تَبْدَأُ يَوْمَ عَقْدِ

the marriage, but rather it was before it. For homes, my brothers and sisters, do not begin on the day of the contract of

النِّكَاحِ، بَلْ تَبْدَأُ يَوْمَ الِاخْتِيَارِ، وَلِذَلِكَ فَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنَ السَّعَادَةِ أَوِ الشَّقَاءِ،

marriage; rather, they begin on the day of choosing. And for this reason, much of happiness or misery,

وَالطُّمَأْنِينَةِ أَوِ الِاضْطِرَابِ، وَالْوِفَاقِ وَالنِّزَاعِ، لَا تُولَدُ بَعْدَ الزَّوَاجِ، وَإِنَّمَا تُزْرَعُ بُذُورُهَا

and tranquility or turmoil, and harmony and conflict, are not born after marriage; rather, their seeds are planted
